Merlyn’s A-Team to the Rescue in DIY SOS call!
In November 2008, a crack commando unit of shower experts was sent to Surrey by BBC’s DIY SOS, to answer an emergency call. These men in black promptly secured the perimeter (and the kettle), carried out reconnaissance, assaulted the target bathroom and completed the operation by installing a fantastic shower enclosure. Calling cards, a Merlyn Cleaning Kit and, for added safety, a Duck Board, were left by the team.
Merlyn could not ignore the BBC’s DIY team when they received the SOS call!
Merlyn was delighted to install a Series 8 Offset Quadrant enclosure to a family in Frimley, Surrey who desperately needed an accessible shower enclosure.
Dana Davies, Managing Director of Merlyn, commented, "Working with the DIY SOS team was enormously rewarding, and great fun! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and it was our pleasure to provide the Offset Quadrant enclosure to improve the quality of life for this lovely family."
DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles thoroughly enjoyed working with the Merlyn A-team, saying, "Nothing is too much trouble for these guys – they make the world a better and safer place."
The show will be aired in early January 2009 and is set to attract an audience of over five million. Nick Knowles’ DIY SOS team and their trusted accomplice Merlyn, come to the rescue of another deserving home in need of attention.
